Need to go over the transliteration of the Russian text in the Romances volume once again. I am getting to be a bit paranoid about misprints.... in the meantime, I received the Boccherini Pinardi CD from Amazon and the entire saga of the misinformation derived from it is now perfectly clear. I think that this calls for a thorough exposition of the historical issues involved, some of which were hinted at in this previous post.

I need to re-validate the information I provided in my book on the subject of Boccherini Guitar Quintets 24 years ago, and show to what extent they apply today. The space needed for this exceeds what can be done in this LJ, so it will have to go into GALI, where I can format it with footnotes properly. I will get to this as soon as I get the Russian Romances volume out of the way.

Oh yes, I decided to publish John McCormick's compilation of Early Romantic Lieder. It is ready to go practically, as John is an expert Score engraver and music editor. All it needs is some fine tuning of the pagination, and a translation into German of John's Introduction... coming your way
